Let's connect the stations of two lines

At the Maryina Roshcha station of the Big Circle Metro Line (project name - Sheremetyevskaya) we have begun one of the most important stages - opening the openings between the central and two side halls.

During the construction of tunnels, temporary tubes are installed, forming blind openings of a trapezoidal shape, and after completing the excavation of all station tunnels, the builders proceed to opening them. This process is labor-intensive and requires extreme precision, since the load is redistributed to individual elements and nodes.

A total of 22 openings are planned: 12 for the passage of passengers from the future platform onto the tracks and the rest for communications. Such solutions are typical for deep pylon-type stations - with massive pillars to support the arches. The elements are dismantled using winches, then the connection between the future platform and the middle hall, metal insulation and waterproofing are carried out sequentially. On average, it takes 18 days to open one opening, eight of which are spent on mining operations. Two are already ready. The rest are scheduled to be completed by the end of summer.

Serious work is also going on during the construction of slopes - large and small. Thus, there will be one of the longest inclined passages in the history of the city subway - its length from the lower horizontal to the upper base will be 130 meters.

“The monolithic work has been completed, the “skeleton” has been assembled - all the necessary metal structures for future escalators,” said Alexey Kreis, head of section No. 2 of SMU-8.

“The golden hands of Metrostroy” is what Alexey Kreis calls the specialists who can install some of the longest escalators in the capital’s subway. They do the most difficult work. They promise to get it done on time.

One of the four escalator belts will be ready in September. However, in order to place the metal structures of escalators in the designed position, it is necessary to first tighten special strings - guide threads.

– After this, we will begin to hang the traction chains on the main shaft, then we will begin to mount the steps. There are thousands of them on each escalator. But for our specialists, all installation technologies are known; they will assemble and launch rockets into space.

At the same time, energy will be supplied to run the escalators. Currently, the traction-step-down substation is being prepared, cables are being supplied to the site, and a little later they will be connected to the machine room to “power” the equipment.

Builders have a truck crane in their arsenal. Each team has 12 people, including electric welders, electricians, and mechanics. Subsequently, they will begin setting up the systems.

In addition, at the Maryina Roshcha station, the construction of a small inclined passage was completed using mining methods to create a transfer to the station of the same name on the Lyublinsko-Dmitrovskaya line. Its length is 25 meters, a slight slope will connect the stations of the two lines.

– Mining work on a small inclined course has been completed. Due to the proximity of the active metro area, the drilling and blasting method was prohibited, so the development of rock, mainly limestone and dolomite, with large amounts of water, was carried out manually using jackhammers, said Danil Loza, mining foreman of site No. 1 of SMU-8. “This work was carried out every shift by a team of six people.

Below the slope there is a tension chamber with a diameter of 10.5 meters, followed by a metal structure chamber with a diameter of 11.5 meters. The construction of walkways is currently underway, which will subsequently lead passengers from Lyublinsko-Dmitrovskaya to the Big Circle Line. Probes No. 4 and No. 6 are in the works; their excavation is expected to be completed in the next month. Three passages, 16 meters long and almost three meters wide, are located immediately after the small inclined passage.

“In this part, mining work is underway, 20% of the total volume has been completed,” added Danil Loza. – After their completion, we will work on the monolith of future stairs. The fifth - central walker will be built later, after the completion of monolithic work on walkers No. 4 and No. 6.

Work is also ongoing on the surface. Thus, the installation of ventilation branches, utilities, grounding circuits and the vestibule is underway. It will be decorated with metal hemispheres, which are made from galvanized corrugated sheets. By the end of August, unusual design elements will already be installed at Maryina Roshcha.

“Currently, the lobby is undergoing waterproofing of floor slabs, which will become the basis for the future ticket hall,” noted Alexey Kreis. – We also install metal structures for the lobby part of the air conditioning and heating systems, and carry out glazing. We can say that this is the final stage.

BTW

The new “Maryina Roshcha” is a pylon, three-vaulted station with a depth of 70 meters. It is part of the northeastern section of the Big Circle Line.
