Builder's Day is celebrated in Russia annually on the second Sunday of August. For the first time, workers in the construction industry of the Soviet Union celebrated their professional holiday on August 12, 1956. At that time, the Metrostroyevets newspaper was published daily. The Sunday issue of 08/12/1956 was dedicated to the all-Union celebration. The main topic of the issue was preparations for the opening of the “Park of Culture” - “Sportivnaya” section. At that time, the “Sportivnaya” station still bore the project name “Usachevskaya”. Together with Frunzenskaya, it went into operation on May 1, 1957.
