We continue the photo competition #metrography for readers of our newspaper! The head of the personnel department of SMU-6, Svetlana Gorbacheva, provided her photograph to the editorial office. She has been interested in creating herbariums since her school days. “In the second grade, for Teacher’s Day, I made a herbarium for the teacher - this was my first job. There were no frames for compositions back then; they were decorated with velvet. Last year I collected flowers from the dacha for new paintings. It turned out that modern books are not suitable for drying - the type is imprinted on the plants. Then I decided to use editions from the 70s. Everything worked out in them, and even the color was preserved. Herbariums are made of rudbeckia, wild carrots, maiden grapes, yarrow, wormwood, lupins, bluebells, pansies. I build the composition according to my taste and mood.”
