Summing up the year, we can confidently say that it was not easy. We, like everyone else, had to revise the usual system and learn to work in a new way. It is impossible to build while remote. In addition, many production cycles do not make allowances for the epidemiological situation. Stopping such a colossus as the construction of the metro is difficult and even dangerous, which is why we first set up work in a pandemic. Additional protective measures against Covid-19 have been introduced for construction crews. Some employees still had to be transferred to remote work.
Despite all the restrictions, we continued the construction of metro and railway facilities. At the moment, the running tunnels have been completed on the north-eastern section of the Big Circle Line, excavation has begun on the extension of the Lyublinsko-Dmitrovskaya line and the reconstruction of the Kakhovskaya line for its subsequent integration into the BKL, and we have also built structures for railway tunnels in Serbia and have begun the final stage of their arrangement. In 2020, we opened three new metro stations: Aviamotornaya, Lefortovo and Elektrozavodskaya. In addition, they actively participated in the construction of the Voronovskoye Clinical Center for Infectious Diseases. In 37 days, on the initiative of the Moscow government, a unique medical facility with a total area of 80 thousand square meters was built. Today, when our country and the whole world thanks doctors, I also want to say thank you, metro builders, for the dedication and responsibility that you often bear despite the circumstances.
I am convinced: the strength of Mosmetrostroy lies in the unity of its workers, their ability to solve complex problems together, listen and hear each other, and find compromises. These qualities have helped us overcome difficulties for many years, allowing us to see the future and the common goal, which is based on development, increasing the economic indicators and production capacity of Mosmetrostroy. In recent years, we have also experienced serious support from the city in terms of preserving the production capabilities and history of one of the oldest companies in Russia.
On the eve of the 90th anniversary of the Moscow Metro Construction, I congratulate all the company’s employees on the upcoming New Year and Merry Christmas. I wish to realize our common grandiose plans. Happy holiday!
Sergey ZHUKOV,
General Director of JSC "Mosmetrostroy"
