We continue our traditional column “Frankly speaking.” Its heroes are employees of the Mosmetrostroy JSC group of companies, who share their rules of life with readers and speak honestly about themselves. This time we talked with the General Director of Institute Inzhproekt LLC Alexander Golubchikov. He told how he came to the profession and why you should trust the signs of fate.
The most valuable thing in my childhood – young father and mother who gave us freedom. We were left to our own devices while our parents worked and raised virgin soil at the call of the party and government of our Motherland. At the same time, they did not forget about us, they gently guided us so that we did not feel it from the outside.
Older generation – for me it is a feeling of security, reliability and calm. My grandmother Marina on my father’s side (we called her grandma for her kindness; she devoted her whole life to raising her grandchildren and great-grandchildren) never raised her voice, even when we disobeyed and were naughty. For misdeeds, she affectionately said: “Oh, naughty girl, what have you done, you can’t do that!”, and we understood her. Such memories are worth a lot. You understand all the tenderness and correctness of parental love only when people close to you pass away.
At school instilled a love for various subjects. For me it’s physics, mathematics and, for some reason, geography. I was predicted to become a physicist, but I chose the profession of a builder. One day, on the way to school, I met a team of surveyors who were doing a topographic survey of the area. And in their hands they had neatly and sharply sharpened pencils. And from their touches, clear horizontal lines were laid down on the paper, repeating the terrain. This process made a deep impression on me and influenced my choice of profession - so I decided that I would draw and build. Such a chance meeting in its own way suggested the further choice of profession.
Studying in graduate school, dissertation and defense of an academic degree gave me the feeling that a person can achieve anything.
In life there were many different signs. Before our wedding, my future wife Marina had a vision in a dream that I was standing at the pulpit. After marriage, Marina kept remembering this dream, and in the second year of our life together I found myself in graduate school, and after graduating, I became a teacher at the university. Fate also presented me with another test, after which I found myself at the “last line.” But then the image of the Mother of God appeared in my head, which determined my future destiny. She brought me back to earth, but with a different attitude towards life, close people and colleagues.
Working day cannot do without people and communication with them, without the manager’s responsibility for the decisions made.
Fear nothing not needed in this world. Man does everything with his own hands. When you can, create and create yourself. Once in graduate school I asked my supervisor for a sample for writing the first article, to which he replied that it was time for me to make decisions myself. That’s when I lost the complex that someone should confirm your thoughts and the results of your work. If you are a specialist, then you have the right to do it yourself and take responsibility.
A man is obliged do different jobs. After ten years of working at the department, I decided that this was not a man’s job after all, and went into construction. Since childhood, he made model airplanes, radios, and assembled furniture with his own hands.
New position – this is another life turn. Since taking up my new position, I have been understanding the structure and style of work of the Inzhproject Institute team. He repeatedly convened production meetings with the goal of leading the organization and its creative individuals to plan work.
The leader is always should appear at the site, but not to urge people on, but to give them the opportunity to work calmly. Any employee then understands that the manager is responsible for him and will provide everything necessary to achieve his goal.
I am a subordinate myself, but I have a special responsibility - for people.
Every day I keep the status of all my work in my head. In addition to managing Inzhproekt, I supervise Mosmetrostroy’s non-core facilities: DOL “Yuny Metrostroyets”, UOC on Korovinskoye Shosse, Pokrovsky ZZHBI, building on Tsvetnoy Boulevard.
Above human relations there is nothing in life. You need to guide your loved ones and employees lovingly. Even if a person is wrong, he should be given time alone with himself to realize how and what can be corrected.
Mosmetrostroy for me is a choice, traditions, team, experience, history, way of life for thousands of people.
All objects, to the appearance of which I was involved, are the main ones for me. But my first pride would be the connection to the reversible dead ends behind the Yugo-Zapadnaya metro station, which were built during the extension of the Sokolnicheskaya line. And among the non-core facilities, this is, undoubtedly, a children's health camp in Balabanovo.
Favorite metro stations no. They are all different, dear in their own way to passengers, including me. I proudly say: “I ride the Moscow metro!”
Assess from the outside yourself is impossible. But relatives, looking at my path in life, sometimes say that I am a risk-taker, but at the same time a conservative.
I have two sons. It is always important to understand that it is not we who raise our children, but they who raise us. Parents can only observe, accept and see what positive traits their children can take from previous generations. We must be an example so that children find support in this and the desire to later reach their heights. The eldest son, looking at my work, began to take his responsibilities as responsibly as possible.
Since childhood was interested in collecting. Then it was labels from matchboxes, then Soviet badges, and now it’s a wine library with copies selected according to the birth years of all members of my family. The main one is from 1936, in honor of the mother-in-law.
I don’t regret it of what was. You need to be proud and grateful for your fate. If there was an opportunity to go back and start all over again, I would choose and go through exactly the same path.
