Dmitry Kolesov: my classmates called me “chef”
We continue the “Frankly speaking” section. Its heroes are employees of the Mosmetrostroy group of companies, who share their rules of life with readers and speak honestly about themselves. This time we talked with the General Director of SMU-4 Dmitry Kolesov (pictured). He told us what football means to him, why he doesn’t shave before starting and when his childhood ends.
- I wanted to become a football player as a child, I even studied at the CSKA Olympic reserve school. But it didn’t work out.
- While I was studying at the Mining Institute, the opportunity arose to get a job at Mosmetrostroy, and besides, SMU-4 paid a scholarship. After graduation, I came to SMU-4 and stayed there forever.
- My mentor is the head of the escalator section, Alexander Shikin. Legendary personality. During Soviet times, our site was the only one that installed escalators. I still believe that there are no better specialists.
- Silence is golden. But you can’t always remain silent.
- What I like most about Moscow are the stadiums where my favorite team, the capital’s Spartak, played at different times. I used to take my son to matches, now he takes me.
- My parents wanted one thing - for me to become a good person.
- My classmates called me “chief.” I still don’t know why.
- One day they put me in a corner. While I was pondering my behavior, I noticed a book on the shelf. I read “Müler Montov” on the spine - I thought it was some kind of Frenchman.
- It turned out to be Mikhail Yuryevich Lermontov.
- I don’t like secretive people, it’s hard to work with them. It’s even more difficult with those who think within limits and are afraid to take a step aside.
- Life has become different. The pace has changed: you have to adapt to it.
- When you say the words “I disagree,” you need to clearly understand what you agree with.
- I wouldn’t want to change jobs even in difficult times.
- I don’t shave before starting. In part, this is tradition, on the other hand, there is simply not enough time during such a period.
- The worst thing is to take a person’s life.
- The ideal rest is housework. But I don’t really like weeding beds; it’s better to pave them.
- The most interesting time was when my youngest son was little. It's interesting to watch how kids grow.
- I don't like philosophy. It takes you away from specifics. The answer must be clear: yes or no. The philosopher's answer is “maybe.”
- I do not force children to follow in my footsteps. A person must choose for himself what to do.
- I don’t waste time on things that don’t bring results.
- The last book I read was the biography of Eduard Streltsov.
- Fear is a normal human reaction to life. Only fools and those who perceive the world unrealistically are not afraid.
- I would like to have absolute memory.
- Childhood ends with the creation of a family and the birth of a child. You become responsible for the fate of your loved ones and no longer belong to yourself.
- The strength of Mosmetrostroy is that everyone helps each other for the sake of a common goal.
