A delegation led by the mayor of Moscow on a tour of the station
On July 20, the mayor of the capital Sergei Sobyanin visited the construction site on Semenovskaya embankment, where the construction of the next Mosmetrostroy launch station is in full swing. The mayor highly appreciated the scale of the work performed. General Director of Mosmetrostroy JSC Sergei Zhukov noted that construction is on schedule and the station will be ready by the end of the year.

The Elektrozavodskaya BKL is being built in the Basmanny district, and soon the city center will receive another station with a unique appearance. The construction of the main structures is nearing completion. In the station hall, the finishers of the USR picked up the baton. They decorate the floor with polished gabbro-diabase slabs, the staircases with light gray granite, and next in line are the columns.
“The columns are lined with slabs of garnet amphibolite, which is mined in Karelia,” said Valery Mikhalev, chief engineer of the USR. – This mineral has a high density, which means it will be resistant to various types of damage.
Installation of transfer escalators to the Arbatsko-Pokrovskaya line
In parallel with the finishing, the builders of SMU-24 began to install large parts of the escalators for transfer to the Elektrozavodskaya Arbatsko-Pokrovskaya line. You can get here from the central area of the station hall by going up the stairs to the second level and going into the underground passage. In early August, it is planned to begin installing inclined escalators at the end of the station, leading to the only ground-based vestibule.
One of the track walls of Elektrozavodskaya will be decorated with a large-scale historical panel “The Battle of Heroes”. Its future size is impressive: 163 meters in length. It was decided to depict a collective image of the defender of Ancient Rus' on such an underground canvas. The panels will be made on glass using multicolor printing technique. In combination with other decorative elements of the station - lighting and volumetric structures - this will allow you to create a holistic spatial composition.
A special decoration will be the lamps, which will be placed in round through openings along the columns.
Together with Lefortovo and Aviamotornaya, Elektrozavodskaya will be part of the northeastern section of the Big Circle Line.
