At a low start. stations are preparing to open

On January 9, metro builders carried out the technical launch of a section of the Lyublinsko-Dmitrovskaya line from Petrovsko-Razumovskaya to Seligerskaya. The work done was appreciated by Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin, who, together with the management of Mosmetrostroy JSC - General Director Sergei Zhukov and his deputy Oleg Melnikov - drove through the new tunnels on a motorized locomotive.

All three stations of the Lyublinsko-Dmitrovskaya line - Okruzhnaya, Verkhniye Likhobory and Seligerskaya - are almost ready for opening - in two to three months they will receive their first passengers.

“We continue construction in the north of Moscow,” said Sergei Sobyanin after inspecting the stations. – This year a six-kilometer section from Petrovsko-Razumovskaya to Seligerskaya will be launched. In addition, we are planning to extend this line to Lianozovo, and in the future to the Severny region.

The mayor of Moscow also thanked the metro builders who worked nonstop even on holidays, and called on them not to slow down in order to open the stations in the spring.

In turn, Sergei Zhukov reported to the head of the city what work remained to be completed on the section up to Seligerskaya.

“Currently, at the stations, specialists are carrying out architectural finishing, installation of equipment and escalators, laying cable lines, commissioning of ventilation and fire extinguishing systems,” explained the general director of Mosmetrostroy.

The section turned out to be quite difficult for metro builders. The design solution provided for a weak water inflow at Verkhniye Likhobory, but in reality it turned out to be intense - about 350 cubic meters per hour.

“With such a water influx, the Olympic pool is filled four times a day,” added Oleg Melnikov, Deputy General Director of Mosmetrostroy. “However, we managed to cope with the water influx; waterproofing work has now been completed at all three stations, even at the most complex one, Verkhniye Likhobory. Modern technologies, for example, special solutions and chemical additives, have made it possible to make the tunnels airtight.

The opening of the section from Petrovsko-Razumovskaya to Seligerskaya will provide transport services to the population of the districts: Butyrsky, Timiryazevsky, Beskudnikovsky, Dmitrovsky, Western and Eastern Degunino and others. Residents will be able to reduce the time it takes to travel around the city using the metro by 20 minutes. The load on the existing interchange hubs of the Serpukhovsko-Timiryazevskaya line will decrease to the standard level.
