Work is underway at the sites

SMU-6 employees are now involved in several of the most important sites for the Moscow metro construction. Teams of tunnelers and fitters are busy constructing Rzhevskaya, which will become one of the deep stations on the Big Ring. The team is also making its contribution to the construction of Aviamotornaya - it should be completed at the end of 2019. In addition, the organization’s employees are completing work at the 959th mine of LDL and are engaged in the conservation of the Suvorovskaya station.

Vladimir Kupryashkin, head of section No. 3

My entire career is connected with the Moscow Metro Construction. Came to the construction of the Tulskaya station in 1983. He worked on assignment from school No. 72, where he received the profession of a fitter-welder. Then he gave 15 years to SMU-10. I tried myself not only as a reinforcement worker, but also as a miner and a mining foreman. They built Tsaritsyno and Savelovskaya. For the last 20 years - at SMU-6. He took part in the construction of Fonvizinskaya, Verkhniye Likhobor, Mitino, Pyatnitskoye Shosse, Dmitry Donskoy Boulevard, road tunnels in Krylatskoye and under Mnevniki Street.

We are now erecting reinforced concrete structures on the Aviamotornaya Big Circle Line - this year’s launch facility. The station consists of seven sections. Section No. 3 is doing the sixth - engaged in the construction of vestibule No. 1. This is where the main “filling” of the station will be located - 77 technological premises, which must be handed over to metro services by November of this year. These include escalator service structures, a small escalator, 13 ventilation chambers, a server room, and a drainage pumping unit. In total, according to the project, it is necessary to lay 4,700 m3 of concrete here; three thousand cubic meters remain to be concreted by August.

We arrived at the site on November 19th. A total of 160 people work. Among them is one of the old-timers of SMU-6, mechanic of section No. 3 Anatoly Popkov.

Sergey Sleptsov, head of section No. 4

Our section has been working at Rzhevskaya since January 2017. We were responsible for preparing the site. First, the radio market and pavilions were dismantled. Then they landscaped the territory and erected a construction and amenity complex. When the SMU-8 passed through trunk 1241bis, through which the interchange to Rizhskaya is being built, we were busy reinforcing it. We made preparations for sinking the second shaft - 1240bis. There are about 150 people on the site: teams of tunnelers, fitters and mechanics. We are currently building a transfer complex. These are two approach corridors, six human walkways, and an inclined passage. We are currently assembling the reverse vault of corridor No. 1. Ahead are three blind trunks, a chamber of staircase descents, where there will be another corridor and a blind inclined passage, metal insulation.

Nikolai Panov, head of section No. 5

We came to Rzhevskaya a year ago. Then the SMU-8 crews completed sinking the 1240bis shaft. Then we began to equip it for our work. We worked on reinforcement, hung cages, and built a mountain complex. Now it is almost ready, only some work remains on the material overpass. Through this trunk we are moving towards the ends of the future station. We have already completely passed the Ruddvor. In the near future we will complete the excavation work for the blast depot and equip it. We build treatment facilities: we make a reverse vault. We are working on the approach adits. One already has 15 frames out of 300. In April, construction began on the opposite end of the station. About 200 people work at the site: drifters, mechanics, breakers, surveyors, engineers and technical workers. With access to the station there will be 350–400 of them.

Artem Vorontsov, head of section No. 1

He came to work at Mosmetrostroy in 2011, having graduated from the Geological Prospecting University. He started as a mining foreman at the construction of the Verkhnie Likhobory station. At that time, there was still a park at the site of the 959th mine and fences were just beginning to be erected, enclosing the area for the mining complex.

The excavation of the mine shaft, which lasted a year and a half, took place with great difficulty. Due to increased water inflow, it flooded twice. We tried different technologies for excavation: secant piles, jet, freezing, water reduction. We walked a few meters and the quicksand broke through. In the end, freezing with dry ice through the wells helped. Then there was the construction of approach workings, the left running tunnel from the ramp chamber to the Verkhnie Likhobory station, and a block of technical premises.

Now the main construction work has been completed, we are finishing some passages and pumping. The liquidation of the mountain complex began. The workings are being backfilled. We will dismantle the mine by the end of the year. We will rent out most of the site for landscaping.

Last work is underway on the approach adit to the plumbing wells. The metal insulation is in place, the concrete is in place, clean floors are being laid, the SMU-24 is pulling utilities, painting remains to be done. When SMU-12 completes excavation of the ventilation tunnels of the left branch at the Likhobory depot, everything will be closed on our side. As soon as the line in the depot is fully operational, we will begin to butt the barrel.

At the actual station we are completing the finishing work, gradually transferring the office premises into operation, and signing acceptance certificates. Part of the site eliminates comments from metro services at Fonvizinskaya.

Denis Gusarov, head of site No. 7

Section No. 7 was entrusted with the construction of the inclined passage of the future vestibule at Rzhevskaya. Teams of tunnelers Alexander Kurbatov, Vadim Kholod, Nikolay Marchenko, Sergey Malchenko and mechanics under the leadership of site mechanic Albert Enikeev began work on March 11. We started with the installation of half rings, and from March 20 we are installing full rings. We use the TNU-4M stacker. At the same time, our site is engaged in the conservation of the Suvorovskaya metro station. At this facility we will waterproof temporary workings (adits with reinforced concrete lining) using a new technology - using membrane-type waterproofing polymer materials. This type of insulation has not yet been used for the construction of the metro in Mosmetrostroy - we will be the first. We work in close cooperation with Mosinzhroekt JSC and Instroyproekt-M LLC, which issued a project for the conservation of workings. In April, after delivery of materials, we plan to start.
