On September 7, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin opened three metro stations on the Lyublinsko-Dmitrovskaya line - Yakhromskaya, Lianozovo and Fiztekh, built by Mosmetrostroy.

Since 2011, the light green line has doubled in size and has become the second longest among radial lines: its length is more than 43 km, it consists of 26 stations, 12 of which are new. The launch of the section improved transport services for about half a million people - residents of the Dmitrovsky, Vostochnoye Degunino, Beskudnikovsky, Lianozovo districts, as well as the village of Severny and the city of Dolgoprudny in the Moscow region. Now local residents will save an average of 15-20 minutes on trips around the city. The metro has come to one of the leading universities in Russia – MIPT.

– This is an additional opportunity for students to come and leave the city and save time. There is a special bus route to Phystech, literally two stops. “There are other large enterprises and research institutes located near the new stations,” said Sergei Sobyanin and specially thanked the metro construction workers for their dedicated work.

Deputy Mayor of Moscow for urban planning policy and construction Andrei Bochkarev added that the 5.8 km section completed the development of the Lyublinsko-Dmitrovskaya line in the northern direction, and Fiztekh became the northernmost station of the capital's metro. During construction, a significant amount of excavation and monolithic work was carried out, and a large number of engineering systems were installed (see infographics on page 2).

The head of the Construction Complex also expressed words of gratitude to the workers of the Moscow Metrostroy, who, in his words, accomplished a feat of labor.

– You were faced with the task of doing a lot of work on the construction of three new stations of the Lyublinsko-Dmitrovskaya line in a short time. No one but you could complete this task, but you did it. Only builders can understand what a feat you have accomplished! – said Andrey Bochkarev. – The best recognition of your services is the praise of those people who were waiting for the metro to open. The lives of tens of thousands of citizens have changed for the better, and all this thanks to brave people like you.

NUMBER

Up to 4.5 thousand people worked at peak times at the Seligerskaya - Phystech section

Without a single drawdown

Construction of the Seligerskaya – Fiztekh section began in the summer of 2020. The construction of stations and tunneling of six single-track interstation tunnels was carried out under Dmitrovskoye Shosse, one of the busiest city routes, under the Moscow Ring Road and the MCD-1 railway tracks.

– The most labor-intensive section was under the Moscow Ring Road with complex engineering preparation. We were faced with the task of preventing subsidence on the busiest transport route, and we managed it,” said Oleg Melnikov, Deputy General Director of Mosmetrostroy JSC, who oversees all stages of the construction of the Lyublinsko-Dmitrovskaya line. – The technology consisted in the fact that it was necessary to change the cutting tool of the shields - cutters to cutters, because the excavation included four types of soil. A certain speed of the TBM was set: no more than 7 meters per day with compacted injection behind the lining. Thanks to this, the excavation was carried out without any impact on the existing infrastructure. Additionally, for safety, special signs were installed along the entire length of the section, plus 200 meters before and after the Moscow Ring Road, and on the Ring Road itself, with the help of which the surface of the earth was monitored. As a result, the entire line, which is almost 6 km, was completed without a single drawdown.

During excavation, three 6-meter mechanized tunnel boring complexes were used. “Klavdiya” passed the stages between the existing “Seligerskaya” and “Lianozovo”, and the TBMK “Tatyana” and “Irina” connected “Fiztekh” and “Lianozovo”. The last two shields worked synchronously to save time, thanks to which, for the first time in the history of metro construction, two TBMs were simultaneously released into one pit.

– This event is also unique in that at the same time the Claudius shield reached the Lianozovo station. It turned out that the entire tunnel from Seligerskaya to Phystech was completed at the same time. This has never happened anywhere,” noted Oleg Melnikov.

Mobile formwork

The final section of the light green line is also interesting because unique technologies and engineering solutions were used here. Thus, the “Phystech” pit was considered one of the longest at current construction sites - 765 meters, since it contains not only a station with two vestibules, but also reversible dead ends. Together with them, a traction-step-down substation and a ventilation unit were built in a single pit.

At the Fiztekh station, famous for its “torch”-shaped lamps, single-vaulted metal formwork was used. Thanks to the mobile sectional formwork, which moved with the help of jacks, it was possible to reduce construction time by one and a half times. 18 sections of the station complex were built in six months and the station was handed over for backfilling in nine months.

– The northern section of the Lyublinsko-Dmitrovskaya line has been under construction since 2011, and now we have completed it with three stations. “Butyrskaya”, “Fonvizinskaya”, “Petrovsko-Razumovskaya” stations were opened in 2016, and “Okruzhnaya”, “Verkhnie Likhobory” and “Seligerskaya” were opened in 2016,” summed up Sergei Zhukov, General Director of Mosmetrostroy JSC. “Today we can state that a huge amount of work, which lasted more than ten years, has been completed. The three new stations gained popularity among passengers from the first minutes, and the first train to Fiztekh was greeted by city residents with applause.

Fact

During the construction of a section of the Lyublinsko-Dmitrovskaya line, the Lianozovo city station MCD-1 was moved 350 meters closer to the Lianozovo metro station and connected them with an underground pedestrian crossing. This reduced the transfer time by four times - to 2-3 minutes. MCD-1 passengers traveling from the Moscow region now have the first convenient transfer on the way to Moscow based on the “dry feet” principle.
