The construction of the inclined passage of the second vestibule of the Rizhskaya metro station of the Big Circle Line is actively underway. Already installed 113 ring.
52 rings left. This is less than a third of the required 165. Some of them are temporary. They will be disassembled, cleaned of rock and sent to a laboratory, which will give an opinion on whether the tubes can be reused. When the conclusion is received, the half rings will be sent to a new construction site and will become part of the next station.
The rings themselves, produced by the Belarusian plant, are installed by the domestically produced inclined tunnel layer TNU-4. In addition to this, the site uses lengthy cargo trucks for transporting materials, loaders, truck cranes and dump trucks.
Due to difficult soil conditions: the proximity of the metro technical zone, water-saturated soils and limited space, excavation is carried out with jackhammers without the use of explosives. For the same reasons, at the moment the pace has slowed down a little: to advance, it is necessary to strengthen the arch at the place where the rock transitions from black clay - Jurassic - to limestone. To do this, longarins are brought into the face and a full tightening is performed in steps of two rings.
A team of minters entered the site. They have already passed 20 rings and will soon catch up with the miners. After this, control chemical injection will begin.
“We knew that there would be a slowdown in this section, and therefore we were ahead of the curve: 18 rings per month,” says Alexander Nevin, deputy head of the SMU-6 section of Metrostroy. – Now the pace has dropped to nine rings, but the average balance remains. We are on schedule.
Thanks to proper planning, the excavation will end in February next year. More than 60 SMU-6 employees work for this purpose. They take the breed without stopping. About 350 thousand cubic meters of soil were removed from the inclined passage and sent to a landfill. There were up to 20 “cubes” per shift.
After excavation, insulation work will be carried out and construction of the lobby will begin, which will be located near the intersection of Vodoprovodny Lane and Mira Avenue. In the future, escalators will be installed in the inclined passage of the tunnel, which will become one of the longest in the capital’s metro.
60 meters is the depth of the Rizhskaya BKL station. Additional access to the city will improve passenger service.
