The Lefortovo station under construction on the Big Circle Line (BCL) was visited by Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin on September 23. Together with the General Director of Mosmetrostroy JSC Sergei Zhukov, the mayor inspected the facility and assessed its readiness for commissioning.

– The station itself is not a transit station and is not busy, but nevertheless it is located at the junction of two of Moscow’s largest projects in the field of metro construction. These are the BKL with its 33 stations and the Nekrasovskaya branch, part of which is already in operation,” said the mayor.
Metrobuilders, meanwhile, have almost completed work on the construction of monolithic structures at Lefortovo. At the same time, backfilling and installation of engineering equipment and communications are underway.
– At the moment, the construction and installation work - the main structures - is approximately 90% complete. We have started the architectural and finishing work,” noted the general director of Mosmetrostroy.

Columns are lined with fiber-reinforced concrete
Builders are laying track concrete, lining the walls and floor of the station hall. We started decorating the columns with fiber-reinforced concrete. They plan to complete the laying of communications by the end of October, apply voltage to a permanent circuit and begin commissioning work.
Construction of the Aviamotornaya and Lefortovo stations as part of the northeastern section of the Big Circle Line began in 2015. The launch is scheduled for the end of December. At first, the stations will be a continuation of the Nekrasovskaya line.
Fibre-reinforced concrete is a new building material consisting of concrete and reinforcing filler - fiber. Evenly distributed inside, it gives the material additional strength. Lefortovo columns are faced with slabs of concrete with fiberglass.
