The Maryina Roshcha station of the Big Circle Line is getting ready for launch. Builders are working on several sites, and soon the main structures will be finished. The MS correspondent found out in which areas the work is most active.

The finished platform section at the Maryina Roshcha station
The Maryina Roshcha station of the Big Circle Line (BCL) is considered one of the most difficult to construct. There are several reasons: serious depth, an active subway a few meters away and a nearby railway. All these factors require pinpoint precision from the teams that are working on the construction of the station itself, the tunnels and the transfer between the two lines.
If you walk through the construction site now, you can imagine the outlines of the future “Maryina Roshcha” of the BKL. Here we are walking from the lobby to the longest escalator. It has already been installed, and testing will begin soon. By the way, the inclined course here is the longest in Moscow - 130 meters.
Waterproofing work continues at the station itself. In the middle and left station tunnels, control injection of solution and minting of tubes is carried out. This will help make the “metal clothing” strong from the inside, inaccessible to water or soil subsidence.
Basic structures are also in progress. SMU-8 crews are concreting the rigid foundation in the left station tunnel. The middle station tunnel is being prepared for the internal structures - a rigid base for supporting columns and a ceiling banquet.
– The section of the rigid base of the right station tunnel is one hundred percent ready, the wall is being reinforced. After that, we will concrete it,” said Pavel Klochko, deputy head of section No. 3 of SMU-8. – Then we will proceed to constructing the formwork of the platform itself.
It is planned to complete the monolithic work at the station in the coming months, and begin finishing in April.
A large volume is also carried out at the transfer from the Big Circle to the Lyublinsko-Dmitrovskaya line. The baton for the underground excursion at the station under construction is “intercepted” by the deputy head of section No. 1 of SMU-8 Danil Loza. We go to three walkers - No. 1, 2, 3. They will take you to a transfer between two lines. Granite cladding has already begun here by USR specialists. In parallel, SMU-8 is starting to work on the technological premises in the area of approach corridor No. 3; the team will have to lay out the brickwork.

Small inclined stroke
“In total, there are 25 rooms at the transfer,” he said, “of which 21 are at the turbine hall level and four are in the passenger area. In total, 30 thousand bricks have to be laid.
Further the path leads us to a small inclined transfer course. Here the supports for the escalators are installed. In March, USR will begin installing decorative drainage umbrellas, after which SMU-24 will begin installing escalators.
If you go down a small inclined path, you can get into the tension chamber. Here, on January 25, SMU-24 began installing the shutter. Before this, SMU-8 specialists poured a rigid base.
“The cross-section of the tension chamber is 10.5 meters, and the shutter itself consists of two parts – upper and lower,” explained Danil Loza. – The difference in the installation of the two parts will be a month. The top element will begin to be installed at the end of February.
After installing the large metal structure, SMU-8 will begin tying it with reinforcement and subsequent concreting.
The pressure doors themselves are designed to prevent water from spreading in the event of a tunnel flooding.
On three more walks – Nos. 4, 5 and 6 – excavation has been completed. On the fifth section, a monolithic staircase is already ready. Two more of the same will appear in the 4th and 6th zones. Passengers arriving at Maryina Roshcha on the BKL will be able to walk up the stairs and then along small escalators to the station of the same name on the Lyublinsko-Dmitrovskaya line.
Danil Loza emphasizes: all work is carried out without the use of large machines and large mechanisms - everything is done only thanks to the dedicated work of workers and specialists of Mosmetrostroy.
“Our main task is not to disturb passengers of the Lyublinsko-Dmitrovskaya line and to complete the work on the Big Ring, giving residents and guests of the capital another station of the most beautiful metro in the world,” he concluded.
