Expanding geography with mms international

One of the youngest companies included in the structure of the Mosmetrostroy JSC Group of Companies, MMS International LLC is celebrating its first anniversary. The company approached its fifth anniversary with significant achievements in the field of construction of complex facilities, having formed a professional team.

MMC International was created on February 12, 2015 to implement projects for the construction, modernization and reconstruction of metro facilities, tunnels, bridges, overpasses and overpasses both in Russia and abroad.

FIRST STEPS

The first projects were certain types of work on the construction of the Petrovsko-Razumovskaya, Okruzhnaya and Seligerskaya stations on the Lyublinsko-Dmitrovskaya line of the Moscow Metro. Since 2016, the company begins to carry out work independently. On their own, MMC International specialists successfully built the second exit of the Mezhdunarodnaya station on the Filyovskaya line. It gave passengers the opportunity to get from the metro to the underground space of Moscow City. Emergency rescue operations were carried out at the Pionerskaya station of the Filyovskaya line. Another object was the reconstruction of the “Young Metro Builder” children's health camp.

PROJECTS IN RUSSIA

In 2016, MMC International began work on modernizing the Vladivostok tunnel of the Far Eastern Railway. At this facility, modern technologies and materials were used to restore the bearing capacity of the lining and suppress active water inflows in the tunnel.

The work was completed in June 2019. The implemented project was awarded an international award as “Best Project of the Year”. In the same year, the company successfully eliminated 650 defects and water leaks of varying complexity in the reinforced concrete structures of the station and running tunnels during the conservation of the Omsk metro.

FOREIGN CONTRACTS

In 2017, MMC International’s activities expanded beyond Russia. The company established a branch in Serbia and entered into a multibillion-dollar contract with Russian Railways International LLC to carry out a set of works for the construction of two parallel Chortanovci tunnels on the section of the Serbian railway Stara Pazova - Novi Sad.

In 2018, a second contract follows for the construction of 41 objects of artificial structures under the project “Reconstruction, modernization and construction of the double-track railway Belgrade - Stara Pazova - Novi Sad - Subotica - State Border” (length 40.44 km).

INSIDE THE TEAM

All this time, the company, headed by Denis Chumachenko, not only expanded its geographical activities, but also increased the number of specialists. At the very beginning there were only 50 people. All of them came to MMC International with extensive experience in the field of underground construction. Therefore, despite its youth, the company already at the time of its founding had great potential for development. Over five years, the number of employees has increased almost fivefold.

Simultaneously with the number, their professionalism also grew. Young specialists also strive to develop and participate in the social activities of the holding. So in 2019, they became the first in a professional skills competition among young specialists from organizations in the construction industry in Moscow.

During this time, the team developed friendly relations and traditions.

PLANS FOR THE FUTURE

In addition to current affairs, in 2020 MMC International will have additional emergency restoration work on the Shchukinskaya – Spartak section. There are plans for an ambitious project to reconstruct a tunnel under the Amur River near the city of Khabarovsk on the Far Eastern Railway (length more than 7 km). As well as participation in the modernization of the railway line Valjevo - Vrbnica - State border with Montenegro on the Belgrade - Bar section (repair of 146 tunnels with a total length of 66 km and 12 galleries with a total length of 550 m).
