We all gathered at Phystech
It’s a difficult world to comprehend physics,
So that the light of science shines
All over the world from Dolgoprudnaya.

With these words from the anthem of students of the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology (MIPT), passengers of the Fiztekh stationLyublinsko-Dmitrovskaya line will be greeted by a panel on the second, northern vestibule, facing Dmitrovskoye Shosse.

–Initially, it was planned to locate an evacuation exit in the northern part of the Phystech station, –said Pavel Tokarev, deputy head of the SMU-12 section. – The project was changed: in its place it was decided to make a second lobby with a building for operational personnel.

SMU-1, SMU-12, SMU-24 and Mosmetrostroy USR are used at the site.

The lobby is combined with the operating personnel building, which consists of seven levels - four underground and three above ground. On the first ground floor there is a ticket hall, and on the underground levels and two upper floors there are service and technical premises. At the third floor level there are rest rooms for locomotive crews.

They are equipped with everything necessary so that tired drivers can effectively recuperate: two beds with soft mattresses, a bathroom with a shower, and adjustable air conditioning. All that remains is to hang the blinds so that daylight does not interfere with sleep and the rooms will be ready to receive employees.

All necessary systems have been installed, commissioning work is underway, including checking, configuring and testing programs and various electrical equipment: video surveillance systems, fire safety and others.

Construction of the second lobby began in August 2023. During this time, they developed a foundation pit, built monolithic structures, and installed escalators. The finishing of the lobby is almost complete.

SMU-1 specialists built a technical floor where metro services will be located and prepared for the improvement, which is already underway. There will be an access road, parking and pedestrian areas.

The work is progressing according to schedule. Soon, passengers coming from the new residential complex will be able to save about 300 meters of travel to the subway.
