At the Lefortovo station under construction, monolithic work has already been completed by more than two-thirds. The workers reached its fourth underground level. Our correspondent found out how metro builders are coping with increased water flow and the capital's frosts.
The length of the future station from portal to portal is 200 meters. It is divided into four sections, distributed between three sections of Tunnel-2001 LLC.
The station is being built by about 500 people around the clock. According to the head of section No. 5 of Tunnel-2001 Igor Bicherov, monolithic work is approximately 70% completed. Construction is proceeding in parallel on all sections, and now they are in varying degrees of readiness.
The Lefortovo station complex will include as many as four underground levels. Afterwards, it is necessary to build a ground pavilion, ventilation joints, and improve the territory.
In the first three sections of the pit, the construction of the structures of the lower - platform - level was completed in the summer. A lot has also been done on the second and third. The outlines of the future station can already be easily guessed: platform, stairs, columns. At the upper, fourth level, which the metro builders recently reached, they are now working on the floors. The fourth section will be the last to be completed: the tray is just being filled there now. In this part of the pit, shields were launched to the future Aviamotornaya station of the Big Circle Line. The emergency exit will also be located here.
The Tunnel-2001 crews came to the pit prepared by the joint efforts of SMU-9 and Stroymekhservice last fall. The builders here felt the differences from the projects previously implemented in other areas of Moscow literally from the first steps.
“The start was difficult for us,” recalls Bicherov. – In order to carry out concrete preparation in conditions of very high water content, it was necessary to first make drainage sumps and connect drainage pipes to them. Now these problems have not gone away, we are fighting them with the same means.
This is the specificity of working in massifs of water-saturated sand left over from the Yauza tributary that once lay here.
Another difficulty for the builders was the onset of winter cold. To heat reinforced concrete, workers set up greenhouses. This necessary measure will provide confidence that the structures will subsequently withstand loads during operation.
After the completion of monolithic and finishing work, the next step is the installation of electrical equipment and equipment. Despite the frosts and increased water content, the builders are going to complete the project on time.
