Tailed employees

In the May issue of the Metrostroyevets newspaper, we talked about an unusual underground concert that Mosmetrostroy organized together with the Bunker 703 museum. Those who came were captivated not only by the mesmerizing music in the extraordinary acoustics of the tubing and the unique exhibits of underground construction that could be touched, but also by the unusual museum worker.

The red kitten Tubing met the guests on the surface, entertained them throughout the event and even managed to fall asleep on the lap of one of the visitors. But it’s not only in the museum that you can meet an employee with four paws.

At site No. 30 near the construction of the Yakhromskaya station, Murka, a black and white fluffy cat with a gentle character, has been living for two years. Many trials befell her. In one of the cold winters, she suffered frostbite on the tip of her tail, and now she is raising two whole generations of kittens.

Four-legged inhabitants are loved on the playground. Both female crane operators and stern guards bring them food. It’s not just out of love for our smaller brothers that builders coexist with cats.

“I respect them because they catch mice,” says security guard Vladimir Sychev. “Before, even rats ran here.” Everyone was caught. They are doing their job.

And this situation is not uncommon. Both Suvorovskaya and Fiztekh have their own mousecatchers. Each of them has their own, complicated story, which, unfortunately, they cannot tell us. But they will share comfort, warmth and, to the best of their ability, make life at a construction site a little easier and more pleasant.
