Pickleball is a sport that is gaining popularity in Russia and around the world, combining elements of badminton, racquetball, tennis and ping-pong.

It appeared in 1965 in the USA as family entertainment and began to develop rapidly several years ago. Among its advantages are simple rules, accessible equipment and the absence of the need for strong physical training. Pickleball is suitable for all ages and helps keep you fit by improving your stamina, reflexes and coordination. The game takes place on a small court; the only attributes required are a racket made of wood or composite materials, a perforated polymer ball and a net. The match can involve 2 or 4 people, and there is also a variation of a single game.

His previous interests included unusual racquet sports such as crossminton and padel tennis. I became interested in pickleball this summer.

– I try not to miss a single training session and actively involve my friends in the game. I have already achieved some success: together with my partner, I took second place in doubles matches at Moscow competitions under the auspices of the Federation,” shares Sergei. – I believe that pickleball has a great future, since it is easy to play even at an initial level of technique and with basic physical abilities. At the same time, health and sharpness of thinking are strengthened.
