Labyrinths of the Filevskaya line

We continue the “Keyhole” section. In it, an MS correspondent spends one day with a builder, “spying” on his work. This time, the hero of the column was the head of the Mosmetrostroy USR section, Nikolai Rekutin (pictured), who is now working on the reconstruction of the Filevskaya line. On May 8, the northern vestibule and the platform towards the center of the Kutuzovskaya station opened for passengers.

We meet Nikolai Rekutin on the Kutuzovskaya platform early in the morning of May 6 - even before the platform opened for Muscovites. To get there, the head of the section first drove to the next station in the direction from the center - “Fili”, there he changed to a train in the opposite direction and finally got off at the desired stop. Passengers also have to endure such inconveniences. But the line is functioning without interruptions for repairs.

– We are now working on “Kutuzovskaya”, “Bagrationovskaya” and “Filyovsky Park,” says Rekutin. – Trains run every five minutes, and you also have to make transfers at neighboring stations. If you go around all the areas twice, the day is over. I live in Maryino. Now you can’t park anywhere along the Filyovskaya line, so I travel all day only by metro.

PLAN FOR THE DAY

Nikolai Ivanovich’s main task is to organize work in all areas of reconstruction.

“I don’t have my own office - we are given a trailer everywhere,” says Rekutin. – I go there often: check materials, look at project drawings.

Today we have to inspect all three areas where work is being carried out. The Filevskaya line, according to him, is far from the most difficult experience of all time.

– “I started in 1977 with the Botanical Garden,” recalls Nikolai. – The main stations where I worked were on the Lyublinsko-Dmitrovskaya line: “Krestyanskaya Zastava”, “Bratislavskaya”, “Dubrovka”, “Dostoevskaya”, “Trubnaya”. At the Peasant Outpost, the work took almost two years, and the most difficult station was Dubrovka. Groundwater made it difficult to pass through the inclined tunnel, and the lobby took a long time to build.

We leave the trailer and go down to Kutuzovskaya. Until recently, the metro and MCC stations were separated by an unsightly wall, but now it has been replaced by a temporary fence. Stained glass windows have already been installed in some places.

“Before the reconstruction there was the same wall here,” Rekutin points to the opposite platform. – Now there will be beautiful stained glass windows. Ten were already installed yesterday.

SOON THE STATIONS WILL BE DRESSED IN GRANITE

Having examined the station, we join the rest of the passengers who are crowding on the platform. The next point is “Filyovsky Park”. It seems to be a neighboring station to Kutuzovskaya, but getting to it is not so easy - you need to get there again through a change at neighboring stops.

– We deliver projects in parts. In April, the section was handed over to the center - passengers were allowed there only while one carriage was not working, explains Nikolai Ivanovich. – We will open it by May 8th so that the train arrives in full. The work is deliberately planned in torn pieces. This is due to the fact that the stations are operational and quite busy - we cannot close the lines completely.

Before departure, he looks paternally through the windows of the departing train at his employees.

– I have a total of about 25 mechanics, 13 stonemasons and 10 plasterers and painters working at my stations, says Rekutin. – In each trailer there are 20 people changing clothes, there’s simply nowhere to put another one.

Patiently we get to “Studencheskaya” – here we’ll change trains and head towards the stations we need.

– My work is at the last stage, so they are constantly rushing us. The station needs to be commissioned tomorrow, but the volumes for cladding are released only two days before,” complains Nikolai Ivanovich. – And there is also a lot of work that can only be done at night, in two hours from 2:30 to 4:30, when the station is closed and the tension is relieved.

Driving past closed platforms, Rekutin, out of habit, looks closely at the wires hanging unevenly from the unfinished walls and the resting construction workers. He remembers all the shortcomings in order to draw the employees’ attention to them during the daytime rounds. Soon there will be granite instead of tiles and asphalt, but for now it’s better not to enter the station without a helmet and boots.

– Most of all, I like the way we delivered Trubnaya: the material is good – marble and granite, and the architecture itself is interesting, the section manager shares his impressions.

At Pionerskaya, Rekutin habitually walks from the right edge of the platform to center.

– It happened several times: a train arrived, you sat down, and forgot that the first two cars did not open the doors at the station. Then you go to Kuntsevskaya and come back,” Nikolai Ivanovich smiles. – Here, too, passengers are always confused.

WE HURRY TO THE WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP

At the second section, everyone is already waiting for Rekutin and, without unnecessary greetings, they share pressing problems, two of which are the most pressing - materials and deadlines.

– Nikolai Ivanovich, it’s good that you’ve arrived! Look, they managed to finish the column yesterday - when will they deliver the new tiles? - one of the employees with a tape measure in his hands runs towards the head of the site.

Rekutin replies that he will soon solve everything, and hurries to the stonemasons on wooden planks, saving the still clean shoes from puddles of cement and mud.

– When work began on “Filyovsky Park”, there were almost no materials. The station was handed over for finishing last - everything that was purchased had already been used at previous sites,” Nikolai Ivanovich shares when he returned. – This is also my task - to provide the facility with the necessary building materials.

Moving further through the labyrinth of dry areas, Rekutin will either approach one worker and check whether the new step ends in the right place, then reassure another worker that today it is possible to install all the glass that is available - new ones will be delivered in the week. While walking around the station, the shoes turn from the shiny black they were in the morning to dusty gray.

– We plan to finish “Filyovsky Park” in time for the World Cup. Today there are no more difficult tasks. I’m worried about only one thing: there’s only a month left,” Nikolai Ivanovich laughs. – As usual.

BY THE WAY

Filyovskaya line of the Moscow metro has been operating since 1958. Currently, the first reconstruction of the stations in 60 years of existence is taking place. It began with the platforms “Studencheskaya”, “Pionerskaya” and “Fili”, after which the stations “Bagrationovskaya”, “Filyovsky Park” and “Kuntsevskaya” were added. Since October, the seventh station of the section, Kutuzovskaya, has also been partially closed. The project is planned to be completed in the fall of this year.
