In the “Close-up” section we talk about the work of a builder, “looking at” his usual working day. Today our hero is SMU-25 work producer Ivan Kurkin.
Ivan Viktorovich’s workplace has been empty for six months. In October, among 65 employees of Mosmetrostroy, he was mobilized to participate in a special military operation.
Ivan admits that he misses construction. On his site there are several teams and about forty people in a friendly team: installers, welders, etc.
Since 2015, Kurkin has worked at the Elektrozavodskaya, Aviamotornaya and Maryina Roshcha stations of the BKL, as well as on the extension of the Lyublinsko-Dmitrovskaya line.
“I was involved in communications: they installed pipes, rainwater drainage, water supply and heating systems,” he recalls.
Ivan's working day began early. The sun has not yet risen, and you already need to get a work order, call the foremen, and distribute tasks.
To supply the metro with water, it is necessary to disconnect old pipes, build new ones, and build a communications network. This requires attention and responsibility: one poorly welded seam and the risk of flooding.
The work producer monitors compliance with the technological sequence of production, controls deadlines, and requires compliance with norms and rules.
“When it’s all over, I’ll go back to work.” There’s still room left,” Kurkin says with a smile.
He has two children, a wife and a mother waiting for him at home. My son dreams of going fishing with his dad again. He will succeed soon. Ivan will spend his vacation at home in the Kursk region.
