Alexander Adabashyan
Honored Artist of the RSFSR, Honored Artist of the Russian Federation, actor, director, screenwriter
I have traveled, I travel and will travel often in the subway. There was, however, a period when it was more convenient by car - you get exactly to the place where you need to go. I didn’t have to look for any parking, but now everything is different. Favorite stations are the old line, where there are “Smolenskaya” and “Arbatskaya”. Especially late in the evening when they are almost empty. Then there is in them the image of that pre-war metro, as in old photographs. And my favorite is “Mayakovskaya” by architect Dushkin. Every time foreigners come to visit, I take them to the subway. They, of course, are delighted with Manizer’s sculptures, with the mosaics of Deineka, Korin, and in general with the palace architecture of our dungeons. So we have every right to be proud of our metro and thank you to everyone who built and is building it, success to you and, as a result, to us in the New Year! Health and good luck!
