Anatoly Bely
Honored Artist of Russia, theater and film actor
I had a chance to visit a metro station under construction in Samara during the filming of the film “Metro,” in which I played one of the main roles. In Moscow, especially for the filming process, a tunnel almost 120 meters long, and life-size, was built at the intersection of the Moscow Ring Road and Kashirskoe Highway. The cars were lowered into it using a crane. Inside, it felt like you were really in a real subway. It was a unique experience. I myself prefer to move around the city by car, so I haven’t taken the metro for a long time. At the same time, I believe that the expansion of the subway is beneficial to the city. It is becoming easier and more convenient for people to get from one point of Moscow to another. Behind this lies the work of thousands of builders. In the new year, I wish the metro builders participation in new interesting projects!
In the film “Metro” (2013), Anatoly Bely played one of the main roles. According to the plot, the action of the film takes place in Moscow. But the metro stations have fictitious names - “Sadovaya” and “Borodinskaya”.
