At three new stations of the Lyublinsko-Dmitrovskaya metro line - Yakhromskaya, Lianozovo and Fiztekh - you can visit the exhibition of the Mosmetrostroy photographer and metro construction historian Alexander Popov, who recorded all stages of construction.
The exhibition presents footage of the pit of the Phystech station, which is considered one of the longest at current construction sites, the first cube of concrete at the Lianozovo station, as well as the work of tunneling shields on the entire Seligerskaya - Phystech section and many other unique moments of this construction.
“On September 7, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin opened 3 new stations on the Lyublinsko-Dmitrovskaya line. Almost 130 thousand citizens received the metro within walking distance. Construction took several years, and at our exhibition passengers will be able to see in more detail the scale of the work and learn how the stations that they now use every day were created,”said Maxim Liksutov, Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Transport.
– It is our long-standing tradition to decorate new stations built by Mosmetrostroy with photographs of various stages of construction. Thanks to this, passengers can “visit” a construction site in places where they usually cannot access, notedGeneral Director of JSC Mosmetrostroy Sergey Zhukov.
The photo exhibition is open until Metro Builder's Day on October 2, which is established by Decree of the President of Russia and will be celebrated annually on the birthday of Mosmetrostroy.
