Dear metro builders!
In 2023, the Council of War and Labor Veterans worked according to the plan approved by General Director Sergei Zhukov.
About 90% of the events were financed by the Mosmetrostroy Administration and 10% by the Terkom of the Mosmetrostroy Trade Union.
- It should be noted that during this period the Trade Union Tercom intensified its participation in organizing our events.
- It is pleasant to note that last year the Council of War and Labor Veterans of Mosmetrostroy, Afgan Metrostroy, and the search team “Memory of Metrostroy” collaborated more closely and fruitfully with the press service and the editorial office of the newspaper “Metrostroyevets”.
- Basically, the planned joint activities of the Mosmetrostroy Administration and public organizations have been completed.
- 7 cleanup days were held to improve 30 burial sites of great metro builders with a ceremonial laying of flowers.
- Flowers were laid at three memorable places in Moscow: the first mine on Rusakovskaya Street; metro station "Polezhaevskaya" (Polezhaevu V.D.); metro station "Krasnoselskaya" (Fedorova T.V.).
- The descendants of the famous metro builders and the Youth Army members of the high school in Malye Vyazemy, where the memorial memorial of the Metrostroy Aero Club is located, took an active part in the events.
- I am proud to note that the Moscow Metrostroy held three significant patriotic events in 2023:
- Real help to our defenders of the Fatherland and to the wounded.
- On June 22, on the Day of Remembrance and Sorrow, on the holy land of the Soviet Union - Borodino Field, after restoration, a memorial sign was solemnly opened to the metro builders - builders of defensive structures in July-August 1941 (mostly women, of whom 19 died). Tatyana Fedorova supervised the work.
- In October, a meeting was held between the General Director of Mosmetrostroy JSC Sergei Zhukov and the descendants of outstanding leaders and Heroes of the Soviet Union - metro builders.
In February of this year, a meeting was held between the General Director of Mosmetrostroy JSC Sergei Zhukov and the great-grandson of the pioneer builder, pilot, Hero of the Soviet Union, Major General Ivan Vishnyakov, a 10th grade student at the Gloria school, Ivan Kovalenko.
On February 23, 2024, the Council of Veterans and the Trade Union laid flowers at the monument to metro builders, heroes of the defense of Moscow in 1941, and also took part in a ski race in the Borodino Field museum-reserve.
In 2023, Mosmetrostroy financed the restoration of the family grave of the first builder, Hero of the Soviet Union, submariner of the Black Sea Fleet Alexander Sergeevich Morukhov, who was the only Hero of the USSR after the war who worked for more than 40 years in SMU-4 of Metrostroy.
During the reporting period, cooperation with the Moscow Veteran Builders Foundation continued. Provided assistance to veterans.
In conclusion, on behalf of the Council of War and Labor Veterans, Afghan Metrostroy, and the “Memory of Metrostroy” search team, I want to express confidence that we, metro builders, will continue to carry out patriotic work.
