On the section from the Teatralnaya station under construction to the dead ends of the existing Alabinskaya station of the Samara metro, 100 rings of the left running tunnel were installed, said Sergei Zhukov, General Director of Mosmetrostroy JSC.
–The tunneling is carried out in a closed manner using a Herrenknecht S-755 “Samara” mechanized tunnel boring complex. If converted into meters, 100 rings means 140 meters of the finished tunnel,– said Sergei Zhukov.
The Alabinskaya - Teatralnaya section will be one of the longest in the Samara metro - 1600 meters. The penetration rate will be 50-100 meters in the first two months, then 250 meters per month.
–The lowest point is 28 meters, then from this point the TBM will go up to the dismantling chamber at the intersection of Novo-Sadovaya and Polevaya streets. The geology here is sandy loam, loam, sand. The route is difficult - a small radius of the curve and a large slope, - noted Sergey Zhukov.
According to the schedule, it is planned to complete the excavation of the left distillation tunnel at the end of this year. After this, the shield will be reinstalled, and the TBM will begin excavating the right tunnel from the Alabinskaya dead-ends to the Teatralnaya station. That's another eight months of work.
The excavation of the “Alabinskaya” – “Teatralnaya” tunnel is being carried out by Tunnel Squad-6 of Metrostroy under an agreement with the Volgatransstroy Group of Companies, a general contracting organization that carries out the removal and reconstruction of utility networks and communications, directly carries out the construction of the “Teatralnaya” station and the arrangement of tunnels.
