02.10.2024

Today in Russia they celebrate Metro Builder's Day. Sergei Sobyanin congratulated Moscow specialists on the holiday on his VKontakte page. The head of the city noted: since 2011, the capital’s metro has almost doubled. The construction and reconstruction of 250 kilometers of lines, 119 stations, as well as 12 electric depots and the MCC have been completed. By 1930, more than three dozen stations will be opened, including on the new Troitskaya, Rublevo-Arkhangelskaya and Biryulyovskaya lines. The mayor also spoke about the Dostoevskaya station, which 70 years later is being built on the Circle Line. It will actually be built manually due to dense urban development. This will be the first metro station with travelators in the pedestrian crossing.
