Repair of the lobby of the Petrovsko-Razumovskaya station (Serpukhovsko-Timiryazevskaya line)

Moscow Metrostroy has completed the renovation of the northern vestibule of the Petrovsko-Razumovskaya station on the Serpukhovsko-Timiryazevskaya line of the capital’s metro, which was closed to passengers at the end of January 2017.

Existing engineering systems needed technical re-equipment in accordance with the new requirements of the Moscow Metro. During the period of repair work, passengers entered the station through the ground pavilion of the same name on the Lyublinsko-Dmitrovsky line, opened on September 16, 2016.

During the overhaul, the roof covering, cornice structures, suspended ceiling, windows in the ticket offices and central part, ventilation grilles, and internal and external cladding of the lobby were completely dismantled. All dismantling work was carried out on a total area of more than 2,000 m².

The color scheme of the lobby was developed taking into account the unified complex of the entire line. The upper part of the façade is made of voluminous ceramics in terracotta shades with sinking parts made of glass and black marble, giving the building a modern look and setting the scale of the surrounding buildings. The interior architecture is distinguished by a contrasting combination of gray floor covering and black cladding of columns and walls, large glazed openings and a shallow suspended ceiling.

The updated lobby uses the best modern materials, the service life of which, with proper care, is at least 50 years. These are natural marble, granite, stainless steel, as well as fire-resistant cables and impact-resistant glass.
